Road Closure Mestia–Zugdidi August 14–15
On August 14–15, the Khaishi–Mestia road section will close for road maintenance work. Minibuses will operate via an alternate route through Lentekhi and Zagaro Pass. If you're traveling in or out of Svaneti those dates, confirm departure times with your transport operator in advance, especially if you have connecting flights or trains.
🚧 MESTIA–ZUGDIDI ROAD CLOSED AUGUST 14–15
On August 14–15, traffic on the Khaishi–Mestia section will be closed due to road maintenance.
Work will focus on completing minor finishing touches left from the previous road repair and completing work on specific sections.
🚌 Minibuses will take a detour route via Lentekhi and Zagaro Pass during these dates.
If you're planning to enter or leave Svaneti on August 14–15, keep the route change in mind and confirm your departure time with your transport operator beforehand. This is especially important if you have a connecting flight, train, or other transfer.
