
Mestia-Khatsvali Cableway Back in Operation
Svaneti's cableways have resumed regular service. Since August 13, both lines operate daily: Mestia-Khatsvali and Khatsvali-Zuruldi. Hours: 10:00–17:00, with tickets available at the ticket office until 16:30.
Great news for tourists and locals in Mestia! The Mestia-Khatsvali cableway has finally reopened and is now available for everyone.
Cableway Operating Hours
Since August 13, both cableways operate daily:
- Mestia-Khatsvali
- Khatsvali-Zuruldi
The ticket offices are open from 10:00 to 17:00, with tickets and passes required to be purchased by 16:30. This gives you plenty of time to plan your trip up the mountain.
What This Means for Tourists
Travelers can now enjoy a convenient two-stage route: ride directly from central Mestia up to Khatsvali, then transfer to the cableway heading up to Zuruldi. This route lets you take full advantage of Svaneti's mountain scenery, experiencing different elevations and panoramic views of the region from multiple vantage points.
